Walter Kölbl

Walter Kölbl stands for a preference for solid materials, strict concepts and the highest precision in the execution of his work. He is regarded as a sculptor who works constructively and conceptually, creating visual structures in the form of sculptures or mural works based on geometric systems.
"... his sculptures, objects and architectural spatial solutions are characterised by clear forms and colours. Paired with his own specific exactness and extreme precision" [Rosa Maria Plattner].
"... his works bring matter and concept closer together without giving up their individuality. In this way both elements enter into a connection, the particularity of which is based on decisions made by the artist".
[Prof. Reiner Zettl]

Since 1987 freelance artist; lives and works in Vienna.
