In our last show before the summer break, Galerie Hrobsky proudly presents recent work by Austrian Artist Ingrid Wald. Wald, born in 1943 in Vienna, studied painting at the academy of fine arts with Boeckl, Andersen and Avramidis, as well as restauration. Since 1973, Wald has been working as a self-employed artist, restaurator and painter.

Wald’s paintings and chair-objects are color- and powerful, her depictions of gardens and flowers are of a summerly airiness and radiate optimism. Inspired by the landscape of her Lower-Austrian home, Wald develops a vital, multicoloured pictorial language. The artist is passionate about literature, and especially poetry, which you can strongly feel when looking at Ingrid Wald’s lyrical pieces.
